Yes - all wedding bookings require a £150 non-refundable deposit. The deposit amount is the same whichever package you opt for, and it can be paid via Stripe payments, or Direct Bank Transfer. Your date is not fully secured, until your payment has been made. We also require a deposit for our celebrations / photoshoots. Please get in touch for more information.

If you've not yet booked in, you're welcome to a free, in-person portfolio/consultation meeting. There's no obligation to book, and no sales pitch.

If you decide you'd like to book me (with or without meeting) we will meet 2 weeks prior to your wedding date, for your 'final meeting'. During this meeting we will discuss timings, photographs you want as well as allowing you to ask any questions you have.

For weddings, the final balance is due 2 weeks before the wedding date. Besides the deposit payment, we don't have any other 'payment deadlines'. If you would like to pay off your balance early, or pay in instalments we can absolutely set this up for you. For celebrations/photoshoots your final balance is due the day of the event.

Every couple gets a 'Sneak preview' of 10 or so photographs, within a week of their wedding date. However, for the full set, we say anywhere up to 8 weeks. In lower seasons (Sept-April) this turn around is often much quicker. I will always keep you updates on progress! For celebrations, it's a slightly shorter turn around of around 4 weeks. For photoshoots it varies, please get in touch for more information.

In general, I work on my own. I personally don't think you need a second photographer for any event - however, if you do have your heart set on a team of two, please get in touch as I do have suppliers at hand that are happy to be a second shooter.

Simple answer - no. Although I can do both of these, I don't want to be a 'jack of all trades'. I want to focus on my passion and make sure I don't miss a moment photography wise. One person cannot do it all successfully! I am however, happy to work alongside other suppliers that offer these services.

No - you will get every good photograph I take, even if it's not one of my favourites. (To you it may hold a really special memory!) For weddings and celebrations, there are no limits to the amount of final photographs - all will be included within the original agreed price. For photoshoots, you will get to view all the final photographs and from there, there will be various packages available.

Yes, they are backed up safely on several devices/platforms so if you ever loose your USB please don't panic, just get in touch! (and I keep them forever).

Not everyone wants their family shared on social media/online and that's absolutely fine. When booking with me, you will get a consent form for sharing photographs - you're more than welcome to opt out of any platforms you don't feel comfortable with. (Form introduced to new bookings in 2026 onwards)

If you're after something different to what you've seen on my website, it's likely we don't offer it. Unfortunately we no longer offer family portraits/newborn portraits with the backdrop set up - only 'on location'. If you're still not sure, please get in touch and ask me directly.

Yes. I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance. I also regularly do risk assessments, and have all my equipment PAT tested.

No matter the booking, I will always do my upmost to find a replacement photographer offering the same package at the same price. Any price differences, will be absorbed by myself. If a replacement photographer isn't available and I believe I've done all I can to find one, you will be given a full refund and unfortunately the service will be cancelled. Thankfully, I have never had to let anyone down in the 16 years I have been running Sophie Nicole Photography - and hopefully never will.
